CLOSING NIGHT FILM AND PARTY: AFTER LOUIE

"The community is dead, literally...as well as figuratively," quips a curmudgeonly Sam (Alan Cumming) in After Louie. Still mourning the loss of his lover to AIDS two decades prior, Sam channels his ennui into rent boys, cigarettes, and an experimental video project that seems indefinitely stuck on pause. But when he meets the seductive young Braeden (Zachary Booth, Keep the Lights On) at a bar late one night, their pants quickly come down and, eventually, so does Sam's ossified guard. As the pair become increasingly intimate, an intergenerational relationship blossoms between them - one capable of reawakening Sam's artistic soul and reviving his wilted heart.
