I shot a travelogue for CNN called My Happy Place, and for me that was the Highlands of Scotland. My dog Lala and I visited Inverness, Ullapool, Findhorn and the Gordon Castle Highland Games
I returned to the castle for another round of dastardly deeds and treachery. And this time Lala had more camera time! The people spoke!
Also during the filming I had to record two acceptance speeches in the Round Table room for the two Critics Circle awards I won. And they were precursors to quite a few awards that summer, culminating in two Emmys!
I made my annual pilgrimage to Boston and GBH to record the introductions for Masterpice Mystery.
In 2024 I hosted an evening to celebrate the 150th anniversary the 92Y with the Paul Taylor Dance Company. I read passages as Paul from his autobiography to accompany the retrospective of many of his original pieces including some from his debut at the 92Y in 1957.
In June I hosted the Democratic LGBT fundraiser in New York City, the night after Biden’s disastrous Presidential TV debate performance. Talk about the elephant in the room, because he was present!
In October I returned to Dallas to host the last ever 2x2 fundraiser for Aids and Art at the home of my friends Cindy and Howard Rachovsky, and layer that month in Washington Dc I hostes the .Org Impact awards that celebrates individuals and organizations that have a connection to a registered .ORG domain
Finally in November I hosted the Yaddo Artiss Medal ceremony in NYC. Yaddo is an artists’ retreat in upstate NY where I developed my solo cabaret show Uncut in 2023.
