Adelaide cabaret festival commercial

I directed a commercial for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. We shot it at Club Cumming, and because of covid restrictions the bulk of filming had to take place outside in what we laughingly called the Club Cumming cabana, the covid era shed we were allowed to erect on the sidewalk to allow us to stay open. It was the most freezing day and we were all chilled to the bone but thankfully we were miming to a track so the musicians’ numb fingers didn’t affect their playing!

Hot White Heist

I directed and produced Hot White Heist a sperm bank heist podcast series by Adam Goldman for Audible, produced by Club Cumming Productions and Broadway Video. I also play the role of a security system that uses my voice!

Hot White Heist stars a cornucopia of queer icons: Bowen Yang, Cynthia Nixon, Abbi Jacobson, Jane Lynch, Bianca Del Rio, MJ Rodriguez, Shannon Woodward, Stephanie Beatriz, John Cameron Mitchell, Cheyenne Jackson, Jonathan Bailey, Peppermint, Katya Zamolodchikova, and Tony Kushner.

I was Artistic Director for the 2021 Adelaide Cabaret Festival!! I curated the whole programme, DJ’d and hosted my Club Cumming parties n the World Famous Speigeltent and also premiered my new cabaret show Alan Cumming Is Not Acting His Age on the closing night.
